MCE's Relativity on Kubuntu

Subsistence

  • Drinking: Water
I left the south not knowing quite what would happen to me. I floundered for a little over two months, and my parents were rather worriedly considering whether they needed to bail me out.

Economics was working against me, but something was certainly in my favor because a job landed me as opposed to the usual order.

Since then, I've kept fairly busy. I could certainly eat more had I the money, but I am surviving. It's actually rather amusing to try to find the most cost-effective calories.

Before I landed a job, I had a few ideas for poems (and one of them drafted) when I made the foolish decision to upgrade to a beta OS. Now I have no more Linux for a while, and no more poems or music or budget spreadsheet.

Despite these setbacks, I think I am doing rather well. My job is going well, and the people are good to work with.

I've met some people I enjoy spending time with. We go dancing when I have time and money and sometimes find other things more suited to my means. I also managed to visit a Renaissance Fair wearing a homemade chainmail necktie.(Disclaimer: I am by no means the first person to have made one, but I did manage to get my office picture taken with it.)

My mother and brother hit stateside for a week for business, and I got to see them both and provide some free labor. Apparently they can tell I'm far happier now than when I visited for Christmas ten months ago. That's encouraging, but I can't help but wonder if it's that obvious what kind of train wreck I must have been.

I'm now long overdue for sleep, but before I go:
-Ed, I still owe you comments on "Get It Right" and "Cold Comfort." A party is still over the horizon, but I think I'm headed in the right direction.
-Rain, I haven't been keeping up with your journals (or anyone's for that matter). They have, almost without fail, never ceased to amuse and sometimes amaze me. Perhaps I will manage to catch up.

Hey dude, it's been a while. How'd you find me? /gasp!

Hope everything's been good with you, and stuff.
:iconkrystalvalkyrie:
I was looking for lublues.
Since your site wasn't up, I figured I'd turn to google. Kiolia on dA...I'd never have guessed.

Me neither. Blame the awesome (not) hosting for my old site - "you forgot to pay us, so we're just gonna lose all your files without actually bothering you for money, and then set everything up new with autobilling and a much worse interface."

On a related note, maybe I'll upload some LuBlues.

O_o I saw your name, and then freaked out cuz I thought that there was a "!" in front of your name.

I was scared that you got banned! ;_;

I would rather see people in heaven with broken toes, because I stepped all over them, than see people in hell with perfect feet because I was too afraid of offending them.
:iconkrystalvalkyrie:
Wait, what's all this about banning? Did I get banned? It seems to be okay now, and presumably whatever happened took place while I was far too busy to notice...

Anyway, I'm considering running up the old political-angst poetry mill while I'm in our nation's capital.

Oh and turnish, my anagrams are fun, too:

It's okay; I was probably just hallucinating. XD

And "Try a Viral Skylark" is my favourite. :giggle:

Good to know that you're ALIVE again; I was wondering where you were! D:
